today I recorded an intro to the book, this is just a beta version to see how to best do it.

I listened, but need to listen again. It wasn't boring...but I will listen again and pay closer attention, act as though I am not privie to any of this story...like I am hearing it for the first time and then give you an opinion.

I listened to the first one last couple of weeks ago....

It is not boring, matter of fact, your introduction makes the listener wonder what happened? why? oh is it?

You have a very interesting childhood, believe me, I was like, oh I thought it just happened on TV...








I have received the second audio, today. Yeah I was busy, First Hannah's FCAT test, then her birthday, now work.....

I will listen to the 2nd part Tuesday, before I start work, promise!

It's good. It tiptoes and dances around the elephant in the room, which is what a good intro should do. It gets the reader thinking "what is this thing he's talking about? What was it and why has it effected his life this way?"

The one thing that I find a little strange, at the end when you say finally what it is, you call it by TCSH which for anyone who doesn't know about the place, they would just think it's a hospital in the traditional medical sense. I know it is one of the official names for the place, but it doesn't have the same emotional resonance as mentioning that it was a mental institution. I know that's what I always felt when I heard about the place. Actually now that I think about it, calling it TCSH and not saying anything about mental illness in the title was probably part of the stigma of mental illness in general. Out of sight, out of mind, in all ways possible.
